Caledonia stretch unbeaten run with victories over Police

Caledonia stretch unbeaten run with victories over PoliceCaledonia AIA seems to have found the right rhythm, extending its unbeaten run in all age groups to nearly four matchdays of the 2011 Oasis Youth Pro League on Sunday with Round One Match Day Seven victories over Police FC at the St. Joseph Convent Ground.

Caledonia coming off victories over FC SouthEnd in all age groups last weekend trashed Police 8-1 in the U13s with Haile Beckles netting a hattrick (42nd, 44th and 47th minutes), a second half double by Ricardo Williams (52nd and 55th minutes) and a goal each by Jabari Mars (14th minute), Immanuel Guerra (36th minute) and Deshawn Manson (69th minute).

Ronaldo Taylor who scored the lone item for Police in Match Day Six 4-1 defeat to St. Ann’s Rangers also netted the lone item for the “Law Boys” in Sunday’s 8-1 defeat at St. Joseph Convent Ground, Federation Park.

Caledonia then drubbed Police 4-0 in the U15s with a goal each by Maurice Forde (32nd minute), Quinton Bowen (56th minute), Jevon Quamina (78th minute) and Tyon Jennings (83rd minute).

And in the U17s, second half goals by Matthew Lester (52nd minute) and Andell Andrews (84th minute) handed Caledonia a 2-0 its third victory on the day.

The Morvant/Laventille club sits third on the U13 standings with 13, unbeaten in third with 18 points on the U15 standings and sixth on the U17 standings with 10 points after Sunday’s Round One Match Day Seven matches.

The last defeat suffered by Caledonia was a 5-1 result against U17 leaders Joe Public back in Round One Match Day Four at the Marvin Lee Stadium.

Maximum Connection dominate U15 standings

Yafeu Rougier netted a first half double on Sunday at the Mucurapo Secondary School Ground to give W Connection its seventh victory from seven games in the U15s with a 2-0 result over St. Ann’s Rangers.

Rougier found the back of the net very early with a second minute strike and wrapped up his double in the 45th minute as Connection maintained top spot with 21 points.

Connection, with 22 goals and conceded just one, is followed by Adam’s Construction San Juan Jabloteh in second position with 18 points.

Jabloteh playing at the San Juan Secondary School Ground enjoyed a 2-0 win over T&TEC with Akeem Garcia (8th minute) and Aikim Andrews (69th minute) the scorers.
