Caledonia, Puerto Rico Islanders draw goalless
Caledonia AIA and United Soccer Leagues(USL) outfit Puerto Rico Islanders played to a 0-0 draw in the opening Caribbean Football Union(CFU) Club Championship Second Round Group Four match on Monday.
With only three teams in the Group following the pullout by Haitian club Baltimore, a win for Caledonia against hosts George Town on Wednesday will secure a place for the Morvant/Laventille club in the Final-Four round of the CFU Club Championship.
Fellow Pro League club W Connection, the 2011-12 Digicel Pro League Champions, and USL club Antigua Barracudas of Group Five have already secured spots in the Final-Four with the top three finishers advancing into next season’s CONCACAF Champions’ League.
Two-time defending CFU Club Champions Puerto Rico Islanders are against George Town on Friday in the final match day at the at TE Mc Field Sports Centre, George Town, Cayman Islands—the venue of Round Four.
