Police against upbeat Army again
Police FC will host Defence Force from 5pm at the Ato Boldon Stadium on Tuesday afternoon in a rescheduled Digicel Pro League Championship Round One Match Day Five fixture and it’s the second meeting between the pair in three days.
On Sunday Defence Force advanced into the quarterfinal round of the FA Trophy by defeating Police FC 3-2 and two days prior registered a 2-0 win over W Connection in Round Three Match Day Three of the Digicel Pro League.
Also the Soldiers are unbeaten against the Lawmen this season, with a 1-1 draw in their Round Two meeting.
Striker Richard Roy who scored both goals against Connection and currently leads the Championship goalscorers’ list with 10 goals, also notched a double in Sunday’s 3-2 FA third round win.
The Soldiers are sixth on the standings, while Police FC currently at the bottom of the ladder is on a four-match losing streak and would definitely ask a lot out of influential midfielder Trent Noel coming off a pair of goals in Sunday’s defeat.
