Club Sando proved its first round win over San Juan Jabloteh was no fluke as it recorded the double over the 2016 Flow Youth Pro League Under-14 Division leaders at Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella on Sunday.
Winners of their first round encounter 3-2 at the San Juan North Secondary School Ground, Bourg Mulatresse, San Juan earlier in the season, Club Sando got a 34th strike from Nesean Duncan after which it held on for all three points.
Despite the loss, Jabloteh still enjoys a comfortable lead at the top of the ten-team table with 36 points from 14 matches, as closest challengers Morvant Caledonia United (27 points), W Connection (25) and Defence Force (22) all failed to win their respective matches.
Morvant Caledonia suffered a 3-1 loss away to St Ann's Rangers at Haig Street Recreation Ground, Carenage, W Connection was held to a 0-0 draw by Pt Fortin Civic at Gilbert Park, Couva, and Defence Force went under to Central FC 4-2 at Ato Boldon Stadium, Training Field, Couva.
However, Morvant Caledonia and W Connection have a match in hand.
Jabloteh had much better fortunes in the Under-16 and Under-18/Reserve Divisions as they continued their expected march towards the title.
In the Under-16 age-group, Tyrese Bailey netted a 32nd minute goal, his third in two matches for Jabloteh to eke out a 1-0 win over Club Sando, pushing its points tally to 38 from 14 matches, three clear of Morvant Caledonia United, which hammered St Ann's Rangers 4-0 led by a double from Jerome Arindell in the 40th and 67th while Curtis Romany (19th) and Darian Moreno (72nd) also netted.
And in the Under-18 Division, Sean Bonval scored twice to inspire Jabloteh to an easy 3-0 triumph over Club Sando,
Bonval opened the scoring as early as the fifth minute for a 1-0 half-time led after which Josiah Trimming made it 2-0 in the 48th followed by Bonval's second in the 54th.
The win lifted Jabloteh to 35 points, seven ahead of Central FC, 3-1 victors against Defence Force, with a goal each from Ricardo John (54th), Raheam Borde (56th) and Jabari Hodge (90th) to cancel out Christopher Yea Chan 15th minute opener.
