Aubrey David completes Saprissa move

Defender Aubrey David has officially completed his move to Costa Rica’s powerhouse Deportivo Saprissa.

The 25-year-old Trinidad and Tobago national team defender passed his fitness test on Tuesday, completing the move for a one-year contract with Saprissa.

The former Morvant Caledonia United player said he wants to adapt fast at his new club where he will occupy the position of right-back.

David was one of three new signings, including Jaime Penedo and Roy Miller, made by Saprissa.

David represented T&T at youth World Cups in 2007 and 2009, and is currently a member of the Soca Warriors. He has had previous overseas stints in Finland with FF Jaro (2014) and Kazakhstan club Shakhter Karagandy (2015).
